VTuber Agency Project PRISM Open Auditions 2022

Virtual Talent Management Agency PRISM Project, a division of Sony Music Entertainment (Japan) Inc., has announced that it will open auditions worldwide. Starting August 7, 2022 at 2:00 PM PDT, applications will be open to both female and male characters.

The PRISM Project states that they are looking for motivated talent, eager to seek growth and development, and who have a passion for carrying their message to the world. The agency also delivered a strong motto in its announcement, citing that “VTubers are humans too! to emphasize that future VTuber talents must be able to maintain a good work-life balance with consideration for their physical and mental health.

Applicant Requirements

1. Applicants must be 18 years of age or older.
2. Applicants of all gender identities are welcome.
3. Successful applicants must be able to stream their content primarily in English. Japanese and other language skills are welcome.
4. Applicants must reside in one of the following countries/regions: United States, Japan, Canada, Mexico, United Kingdom, Germany, France, Italy, Spain, Australia, New Zealand, Brazil, Peru, Taiwan, Hong Kong , Macao, Republic of Korea, Thailand, Malaysia or Singapore.
5. Applicants must be able to participate in the audition process, from initial submission of documents and selection to final interviews.
6. If selected, applicants must be able to commit to conducting virtual talent activities for at least one (1) year, with an expected minimum of four (4) livestreams per week.
seven. Applicants must have a strong desire to pursue their career as professional Virtual Talents, be willing to pursue streaming as Virtual YouTubers (VTubers), and have an interest in pursuing other related talent activities under a professional management team possessing a peak experience.

PRISM’s mission is “to create a world where everyone on Earth can find something they love and experience happiness every day.” Officially launched in January 2021 with three multilingual talents, the agency has cultivated twelve active talents around the world. Talents include Iku Hoshifuri, Aoi Tokimori, Meno Ibuki, Rita Kamishiro, Luto Araka, Shiki Miyoshino, Nia Suzune, Yura Rikudou, Pina Pengin, Naki Kamizuki, Sara Nagare, and Non Anon. Primarily active on YouTube, PRISM’s talent streams a variety of content including singing, karaoke, games, art and more. Led by Sony Music, the PRISM project aims to help talents explore their potential in dubbing, music production, online/offline events and interaction with new digital technologies.
